Learning to be happier

As human beings, it is natural that we would question ourselves on our aptitude and our value from time to time. We all find ourselves at a loss as we are trying to lay our hands on a single, solid prophesy of a changing of tides where you will be happier and live life on your terms. There is no limit to the goals that a person can achieve with faith and resilience of spirit. With the right inspiration you will start to invite change into your life, and what were challenges become gifts. The limits that you experience every day are ones that you have installed based on myths that you have come to believe about yourself and your limits. All of the walls that you see are made by man, and you are the only one that can take them down to experience the freedom that waits for those willing to challenge their dimensions.

It may be difficult to imagine that you could change your life in a way that would make you let go of past traumas and find the passion inside of you that pushes you to find your way to start living your life on purpose. In any voyage, the first step is always the hardest part. You have to assertively decide that you are going to make your life better for you, and that you are going to stop dwelling in the shadows of others. You must take away the veil that is sheltering the world from your inner light that is begging to shine forth, and that is muting the beauty of the outer lying world from your eyes. How do you come to make a series of decisions to try to vault over judgment and negative attitude, and to find forgiveness for those that have helped you find a more solitary and depressed existence? This type of growth erupts from passion laying dormant in your soul that has been reeling for a new perspective to shed this legacy of sadness.

What we need to ask ourselves is where to find these meditations. We have to look within ourselves and summon the exemplary persons that we are so that we may conquer our insecurities and push forward with our lives, working in sync with our environment to foster our esteem and happiness. Though we may use all of the aides that we can lay our hands on, and we can seek out all of the experts in the subject, the underlying truth is that the actual change lies in ourselves, and that if we do not allow these changes that we are envisioning into our lives, that we will never enjoy the fruits of the seeds that we plant. We must go forth and create this situation for ourselves with the knowledge that we acquire. There is no amount of wisdom in any subject that will be able to take the place of the actions that you take to save your own life from a life without purpose.

Thinking Positive Can Achieve Anything – By: T. Detty

Focusing on the good things in your life will help make your dreams come true.

Imagine that you had all the money you could ever want. Imagine that you had great relationships and perfect health. Imagine that you spent your life in peace and joy. If you practice the Laws of Attraction, these things can come true for you. The first thing you must do to practice the Laws of Attraction is to embrace a feeling of gratitude. Be thankful for everything that you have. Focusing on the good things in your life will help you key in on positive feelings.

These positive feelings will translate into a positive energy, according to the Laws of Attraction. When you send out this kind of positive energy, you will see good things come back to you in return through the Laws of Attraction. You can concentrate on the positive things by holding some kind of talisman in your pocket, for example. This will help you remember to be thankful every time you touch it.

Another thing to do in practicing the Laws of Attraction is to become aware of what kinds of thoughts you are having. Most people go through the day with thoughts flitting in and out of their heads. They pay them little heed. If you are aware of the Laws of Attraction, you can monitor your thoughts to a certain degree. You can get a feel for just what direction your thoughts are going. Are they leading you toward a negative situation? If so, it’s time to use the Laws of Attraction to change all that.

Figure out what it is that you want. Don’t limit yourself to easy things to get, either. The universe gives out no different effort to give you a little thing than it does to give you something that is fantastic. So, go for your dreams. The Laws of Attraction can supply them.

Maybe you don’t really know what you want. You’ve been told for so long that you can’t have it, that you’ve stopped wanting it. It’s time to do some soul searching and really find out what you could get through the Laws of Attraction that would please you. Look through catalogs and go to showroom floors and model houses. You might get some ideas. Once you become excited about something, your positive energy will become all the more powerful through the Laws of Attraction.

Once you know what you want, it’s simple. Just ask for it. Say it, write it, and believe in it. Think of it as if it has already happened. Imagine that it has, using the Laws of Attraction. Don’t do this in a whimsical, “gee wouldn’t it be swell” way, but actually close your eyes and visualize it. Don’t expect to know the method by which your dreams will come true. The Laws of Attraction don’t work that way. You just need to trust that a good thing will happen, and leave the “how” up to the universe.

Knowing the Laws of Attraction can change your life. It takes a certain mindset to work with the Laws of Attraction, but it is not hard to master. It just takes some time, patience, and most of all, a lot of faith.

Improving Yourself Through Self-Hypnosis By : Robert Thomson

May 4, 2008

Most people are familiar with the term hypnosis, and for many it elicits negative feelings because of how Hollywood projects it through B-rated films. The hypnotist portrayed as a pocket watch waving practitioner assuming complete control over their subject has been a common portrayal that’s still ingrained in the minds of many.

With movies showing people being ‘put under’ and often doing questionable things outside their control, it’s no wonder that many are skeptical, or fearful, of its power to change their lives for the better.

The term hypnosis comes from the Greek word ‘ypnos’, meaning sleep, and this has caused a misconception that when you are hypnotized you are asleep and unconscious. This is simply not the case. When you are under hypnosis, you enter a deeply relaxed state, but you are in fact awake and aware of everything around you.

It is true that when you are in a hypnotic state that you become more susceptible to suggestions, and this where autosuggestion comes to work. Autosuggestion, also known as autogenic training, is a means by which you can train your subconscious mind to focus on and be open to what is being heard. When trying to improve one’s self, this is a good way to get past the mental barriers and doubts that can hold us back from accomplishing our goals.

Those concerned about being hypnotized and made to do something they don’t want to do need not worry, while you may be more susceptible to suggestions being made while in a hypnotic state, you won’t lose the critical defenses and standards you normally have.

If you choose to utilize self hypnosis techniques, here are some things to bear in mind to help you get optimal results from your efforts:

Determine your objectives first.
It’s usually better if you concentrate on one main objective at a time, since this helps you put more focus on it, and thereby increases the probability of success. Do you want to lose a bad habit? Or do you want to excel in a particular field of your academics?

Discipline yourself.
Any self help development program calls for your time and attention. Create a regular schedule for your sessions and find a place where you can be relaxed without disruptions.

The present is what counts.
You should always use the present tense when verbally or mentally affirming your desired goals. Affirmations should start with ‘I am’ and not ‘I will’. Positive affirmations are aimed at making positive changes in your life right now, as in today and right at this moment; therefore they should speak of and in the present.

Practice makes perfect.
While every individual session helps, most self hypnosis techniques take repeated sessions before the affirmations fully ingrain themselves in the listeners subconscious. Depending on your particular program, you may need to continue with a self hypnosis program as long as 30 days in order for the autogenic training to be fully accepted.

Hypnotherapy sessions are powerful ways to train your mind to help you achieve your goals, and despite what the movies might have you believe, are not something that need to be feared.
